An NIH-funded post-doctoral scholar position (Ph.D.) is available to study the functional interaction between the Golgi and the centrosome in mammalian cells. Ongoing studies are focused on the role of Golgi proteins in the regulation of centrosome organization and function. There would also be the opportunity to study effects of bacterial infection on the centrosome. Experience in cell biology and microscopy would be advantageous.
